MORRIS-JUMEL MANSION

There's always something new at Manhattan's oldest house

In the Community

The Morris-Jumel Mansion is part of a much larger community beyond our centuries-old walls whether that be Harlem or New York City as a whole. The following events are not presented by or located at the Mansion, but are presented by some great organizations and institutions in our neighborhood that we are happy to support.

NOMAA: Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance

A non-profit arts service organization whose mission is to cultivate, support and promote the works of artists and arts organizations in northern Manhattan.

2018 Uptown Arts Stroll

June 2018

Annual month long arts festival, that promotes the works of artists in all disciplines, and the community attractions of Northern Manhattan.

Word Up Community Bookshop/ Libreria Comunitaria is volunteer-run, multilingual, general-interest, non-profit community bookshop and arts space in Uptown NYC. Hosting readings, screenings and community meetings, Word Up strives to foster a home for the creative spirit in Northern Manhattan.

Morris-Jumel Mansion is a proud member of the Historic House Trust of New York City and partner of the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.

Events are supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with City Council and Borough President, Gale Brewer and Councilman, Ydanis Rodriguez.
