Culinary - George Washington Dinner Fundraiser

Step back to the late 18th century to discover some of George and Martha Washington’s favorite foods and the culinary customs of America’s first presidential couple. While savoring the sumptuous buffet, Morris-Jumel’s assistant curator Kelsey Brow, and award-winning food historian and chef Joanna Pruess, will discuss how these dishes reflect the Colonial period and how some are still prepared in present day kitchens. Proceeds will contribute to the Mansion’s continued programming efforts. For additional information, please email

Tickets are $100 per person, advanced registration is required.
