A Modernist in the Colony & Infinite Archive

Join us for the opening reception of A Modernist in the Colony and Infinite Archive.

A Modernist in the Colony: Inspired by the museum's newly reinterpreted period rooms, Jeff Blandford's works will create a dialog between the old and the new to activate objects and spaces.

Infinite Archive: Local artists Rachel Sydlowski, Patrick Perry, and Sarah Rowe respond to the unique history, archives, and architecture of The Morris-Jumel Mansion by reinterpreting archival objects into a site-specific installation.

Morris-Jumel Mansion is a proud member of the Historic House Trust of New York City
and partner of the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.

Events are supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with City Council and Borough President, Gale Brewer and Councilman, Ydanis Rodriguez.
