Latin American Culture Week Community Project

NOVEMBER 13TH-NOVEMBER 17TH-  (community class 11/13-11/16 5 – 8 p.m./culminating event 11/17 3:00 – 4:00 pm)

In honor of Latin American Cultural Week, we are partnering with the uptown organization PAMAR (Pan American Art Research). The Mexican Artist, Cynthia Granados Posada (www.cynthiagp.com) will engage with the uptown community of Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood to create and present a collective artwork. Beginning on 11/13/18 and ending with a community culminating event on 11/17/18, the workshop will connect this year’s theme of LACW and #MeToo in Art, to the life and work of the painter and jeweler, Annette Nancarrow, who lived both in NY and Mexico and has not been properly recognized as an artist. To learn more about her remarkable life and art please visit www.annettenancarrow.com/Biography.html.
