Public Paranormal Historical Investigation (for guests 18+ only)

Looking for an unforgettable ghost adventure? Book an exclusive paranormal investigation at Manhattan’s oldest surviving house, where you will learn the background of paranormal investigations, including the legendary paranormal activity at Morris-Jumel Mansion, while learning the history of the Mansion, its former residents, and interesting facts about the museum collection.

During the guided investigation, you will have after-dark access to ghost hunt in the period rooms of the Mansion, normally closed off to the public. Believers and skeptics alike will enjoy the evening, and will have the opportunity to possibly communicate with Morris-Jumel Mansion’s former residents using paranormal investigative equipment.

  • This event is strictly for those 18 and over
  • Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing
  • This event is currently limited to a maximum of 16 guests
  • All guests will be provided with nitrile gloves for use with the investigative equipment (gloves are NOT optional)
  • There will be no late seating for this event; you have 48 hours before the day of the event to refund or exchange your ticket. All tickets are final and non-refundable.
  • Additionally, due to the high demand for this program, guests are limited to one investigation.

Candlelight Ghost Tour (for guests 13+)

Come to the museum after-dark for a unique exterior tour of the house by candlelight! Each guest will receive a candle (don’t worry, it’s a fake candle) to guide them through the house while learning about its history, and hearing spooky stories of the spirits who may still inhabit the house.

Participants will experience Manhattan’s Oldest Surviving House after-hours during this ghostly tour, including exclusive access to the third floor attic with original flooring. Please note: This tour does not include use of equipment. 

Candlelight Ghost Tours | 6:30pm -7:45pm | $35 | 13+ ONLY

  • Candlelight Ghost Tours run only in the months of September and October. Check back in Fall 2024 for new dates.

  • This event is limited to 20 guests

Want to Book a Private Paranormal Historical Investigation?

The Morris-Jumel Mansion is proud to offer  guests the opportunity to book private paranormal investigations!

  • Private investigations are 2.5 hours long and priced at $750 
  • Group size is currently limited to 10
  • A $50 deposit must be made to secure the guest’s desired date and time. Reservations can be cancelled, with refund, up to 48 hours prior to the reservation. After 48 hours, the guest forfeits their $50 deposit but it can be applied to another investigation. 
  • All guests will be provided with nitrile gloves if you will be using the Mansion’s investigative equipment (gloves are NOT optional).
  • Private investigations can begin shortly after the museum closes at 5pm; investigations must end before midnight.
